Elizabethan Era
Elizabeth's time period, was called the Elizabethan Era. Her Era was all about new ideas and thinking so they could make England thrive. Elizabethan period invented the Press, these inventors were very interested in science, technology, and astronomy.
In addition, most strange events were often blamed on the work of witches. Did you know that woman were blamed the most for being witches? Elizabeth was so afraid of witches, she pasted a law in 1562, leading to witch hunts.
The daily food in Elizabethan Era, was bread, cheese, milk, beer, meat, fish, vegetables, and sometimes fruit. Later before this era ended ], potatoes were starting to become increasingly important. Stale bread would be used for bread puddings, soups, stews, and sauces. Families also ate an enormous amount of meat especially, beef, mutton, veal, lamb, pork, chickens, and duck. To buy and sell food, people often grew or traded their food.
Theater, and music were also very big in the Elizabethan Era.
